After much anticipation, I’m thrilled to give you a sneak peek into my feminine blogger’s office oasis! The space has undergone a transformation since its previous life as my daughter’s floral nursery. While the crib has moved on, the lovely floral wallpaper remained – a happy accident that I couldn’t resist. As someone who always had a soft spot for pink office decor, it wasn’t challenging to make this cozy workspace my own.

In fact, the wallpaper does most of the heavy lifting in terms of decorating. This petite home office requires some careful planning to stay organized, which is why I’m sharing my tips below on how to optimize your small home office and what essentials every blogger’s space should have.

In today’s modern era, a minimalist approach to setting up a home office is perfectly acceptable. The basic necessities include a desk, chair, computer, and perhaps a printer. However, for a blogger’s workspace, there are a few additional elements that can enhance the overall experience. For instance, having a full-length mirror on hand can be helpful for outfit posts, while an organized closet for storing blogging materials is also a valuable asset.

To create a more personalized and inviting atmosphere, I’ve incorporated some personal touches into my home office. One of these elements is a set of bookshelves that were originally used in the nursery, which now display some of my favorite books on writing, blogging, and business. In addition to these, I’ve also included a few decorative items such as forever flowers from Le Jardin Inifini and a beautiful Voluspa candle.

Of course, no home office would be complete without a few daily beauty essentials within easy reach. On my desk shelves, you’ll find lotion, scrunchies, chapstick, and hydrating mist for my face.

If you also work from home, you may appreciate this list of home office essentials.

I’ve learned to make the most out of my petite office closet, packing a punch despite its compact size. To maximize storage, I brought in some extra shelving units from Target, featuring bins that keep my camera equipment, PR samples, and clothing organized. The space also serves as a hub for my photo shoots, where I store props like white poster board, faux shag rugs, tripods, and a trusty steamer.

When I need to quickly steam garments, the hooks originally intended for a nursery come in handy – a clever repurposing that’s served me well. I also keep a pinboard on hand, blending vision boards with inspiring quotes and printouts. It may not be a grand office space, but it suits my needs just fine. As my blogging business has grown, so have my equipment needs.

Recently, I invested in a Yeti microphone for live streams and YouTube videos, as well as a reliable webcam to ensure seamless recording. While you don’t necessarily need much to get started, investing in quality gear can make all the difference as your online presence evolves.

Working from home can be a real challenge when it comes to staying focused and organized. One of the best ways to maintain productivity is to create an inviting and functional workspace that meets your needs. For me, this means having a stash of daily essentials at my fingertips.

I’m a big fan of keeping healthy snacks on hand, like Snappea crisps, which help me power through long days. I also keep a refillable water bottle by my side and a cozy throw blanket to stay comfortable.

But what about the not-so-pretty office necessities? Here are some tips for keeping your paperwork in order:

Designate a spot for your printer – mine happens to be in my husband’s office since I have limited space. You can often find creative ways to store it in bins or closets with an outlet.

Streamline your paperwork by organizing and digitizing important documents whenever possible.

This year, I invested in a new iPad that’s compatible with Apple Pencil to help me make the switch from physical workbooks and notebooks.

Add some visual appeal with decorative storage bins. I repurposed old Tiffany & Co. boxes to store office supplies like hole punches, post-it notes, scissors, and more. They’re not only functional but also add a touch of elegance to my space.

Finally, surround yourself with inspiration.

As you’ll be spending most of your day in your home office, I believe it’s essential to create a space that uplifts and motivates you. For me, this means displaying family photos on my pinboard and bookshelf, as well as using a gorgeous affirmation card deck.

To take things to the next level, don’t be afraid to add some greenery or incorporate decorative elements like rugs and faux plants. And if you’re feeling excited for spring, we’ve got an amazing giveaway to celebrate!

When it comes to setting up a home office, there are several essential elements that can make or break the space. A well-designed closet shelf can provide ample storage for important documents and office supplies, keeping your workspace organized and clutter-free. The walls of your home office should be adorned with a stylish wallpaper that adds visual interest and helps create a professional atmosphere.

Additionally, consider using closet bins to store items like paper clips, pushpins, and other small office supplies, keeping them out of the way but still easily accessible. A mirror can also be a useful addition, providing a convenient spot for checking in during meetings or video conferencing. For added visual appeal, hang stylish curtains that filter natural light and create a cozy ambiance. A high-quality rug can tie together the entire space, adding warmth and texture to your office.

And don’t forget about the technological essentials: consider investing in a gold cork board for jotting down notes and ideas, as well as a webcam, camera, and microphone for seamless video conferencing capabilities.
