When it came time to select an engagement ring, I relied heavily on intuition. I had a few ideas and options swirling around in my head, but ultimately, I let my instincts guide me. I pictured Jules’ hand adorned with the perfect ring, and that mental image led me to make a decision. And, as luck would have it, she said yes!
The Engagement Party…
Our engagement party was an unforgettable celebration of love and gratitude. We invited everyone who has played a significant role in our lives as individuals and as a couple, as we couldn’t have made it this far without them. It was essential for us to express our heartfelt thanks and share the joy with those who have supported us throughout our journey.
The party was held at the Acre Eatery in Camperdown Commons, which offered a unique blend of rustic charm and glamour with its chandeliers and stunning flowers. Sass Events did an incredible job of bringing my mood board to life, making it truly special. With 220 guests in attendance on Easter Sunday, it was a lively gathering that brought together our friends, family, and even children dancing around.
To make the night even more unforgettable, we had Moet upon arrival, grazing tables with a spit roast lamb, and an impressive spread of three cakes for dessert. The food was absolutely divine! As the evening progressed, we enjoyed trays filled with espresso martinis and aperol spritz. We also had two acoustic performers playing guitar, followed by two DJs, Amy Chase, and a trumpet player.
The entire venue was filled with laughter, music, and dancing, making it an atmosphere that we’ll always treasure.
The Crew…
The ‘Married at First Sight’ reunion brought together a diverse group of former contestants. Jules revealed that among the attendees were Heidi, Mel, Bronson with his partner, Cyrell accompanied by her significant other, Mick and his girlfriend, as well as Billie and Lizzy. Although some others were invited, they unfortunately couldn’t make it to the gathering.
Let Me Entertain You…
As the night drew to a close, Jules reflected on their favorite moment, recalling the choreographed dance they had rehearsed with Cam. Despite a few wobbles from Jules’ end, the pair’s enthusiasm and camaraderie shone through, making up for any mistakes. For Jules, it was a case of being open-minded but not necessarily expecting to meet her partner. She reflected, ‘I protected myself by not thinking that far ahead. I guess I hoped. That’s why I did it! Never in my wildest dreams did I predict I would meet the most beautiful, kindest, funniest man. I’m truly lucky. I’m glad I waited and held out for him.
‘ Cam, on the other hand, was more optimistic from the start. ‘No, I certainly thought it could happen,’ she said. ‘I was open to it and put it out into the universe. If I had been told by the experts and there was a fair bit of testing done, then why couldn’t I find and be matched with my perfect person?
