When we discussed his style, ‘unique’ was the word that kept popping up. According to Philip, unique doesn’t necessarily mean elaborate or over-the-top; it’s more about incorporating personal touches that are meaningful only to the couple. These might be subtle details that hold special significance, such as a favorite color, dish, or flower.
He shares an example of a bride who incorporated mixed chairs into her wedding decor because they reminded her of her childhood home. What struck him as particularly interesting was how this unconventional approach challenged his expectations about what guests really want from a wedding experience.

For 2020 wedding couples, Philip notes a desire for individuality and personalized experiences. While many express a wish to stand out from the crowd, the extent to which they want to deviate from traditional expectations varies greatly. What sets his clients apart is their quest for one-of-a-kind celebrations that reflect their unique personalities. Notably, each wedding he creates is distinct, with no attempt to replicate a formulaic approach.
Instead, Philip encourages couples to reveal only glimpses of their creative vision, allowing guests to be surprised and delighted by the nuances they discover.

At our recent industry event, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Philip once again. This time around, he truly outdid himself with his distinct aesthetic. The overall vibe was characterized by a palette of calming green and pink hues, which took on a surprising twist as traditional florals were swapped out for unconventional choices like Brussels sprouts, cabbages, and leeks.
To inject an extra layer of whimsy and fun into the space, Philip cleverly incorporated leopard print tablecloths and chairs, adding a touch of sophistication to the otherwise rustic setup.
